It's always a chore to try to keep horses worked when we get rain. The horses bounce off of the stall walls, bucking and rearing in place, pleading to be able to see some sunshine again. While the arena and round pen are to slick to ride in, we do like the fact that the rain leaves behind great water obstacles on our road. These are mid cannon deep and the size of a small swimming pool, with decent footing below. So for those looking for a water challenge, this is nature's blessing. The road isn't heavily traveled, so sans they occasional vehicle, it is a pretty safe training obstacle. The timing for another playday, would be great if the arena would dry enough to be able to ride in and that the puddles still exist, so let's try to plan one for the near future.
